Dear Mom –
As I reminisce on my life as a young girl, I will never forget sharing my birthdays with my Dad.? One year we would celebrate on Dad?s birthday, and the next year on mine.? ?Every other year one of us had to eat the cake chosen by whoever?s birthday it fell on.? The best part was the cake was made ?special? for us by you. ?Dad always liked the simple cake ? I always wanted all the goodies on mine. ??It was really kind of neat.? We actually always said that we were younger due to skipping a year. ??So today I am celebrating my birthday on the 25th (I guess that means I am skipping a year), because I know you are celebrating with Dad on this special day in Heaven.?
Mom and Dad, I truly miss you both and your memories will be close and dear to my heart always.? I can only imagine what it would be like just to sit next to you, hug you, and tell you how much I love you.? I will continue to remember how wonderful you really were.? Happy Birthday Dad!? ?I am thinking nothing but beautiful thoughts today!? I will be having a slice of your favorite cake just for you.
